SOCIAL MEDIA FOR YOUR EVENTS

Do you use social media before, during, and after your corporate events?

We strongly recommend that you do. First, it is free. Second, social media channels like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter can deliver powerful information to your targeted audience before, during and after your events and here is why.

LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter can be a crucial part of an effective strategy to make your events more successful without adding to your event budget. We are the experts on how to get the best result of your next event by using these social media channels.  LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter can be a crucial part of an effective strategy to make your events more successful without adding to your event budget. We are the experts on how to get the best result of your next event by using these social media channels.

LinkedIn: The Events Application in LinkedIn, used for trade shows in a specific industry (just an example), is a must-have tool to promote your event to a B2B group or specific industry professionals. Either it is about inviting attendees or ask for their feedback based on their experiences, this tool can undoubtedly make your corporate events more successful.

Facebook: Facebook also has an Events Application that is free to use, easy to set up and can contain your event timelines, notification updates, RSVPs and many other elements of your event. Facebook Events allows you to monitor real-time content, and the interactions attendees have with one another. Also, Facebook Events are often indexed by the search engines that will add some extra promotion to your business.

Twitter: Twitter does not provide users with an event application like LinkedIn and Facebook however allows you to tweet event information to all your followers/attendees. The best way to utilise Twitter is during an event. You could use hashtags for the question and answer sessions, set up contests/promotion to get your attendees’ interest, to name a few.

SUCCESS IS WHERE PREPARATION AND OPPORTUNITY MEET

Behind every successful event, inspiration has a very important role to play. Inspiration is magic and the reason why an event becomes a success. The short story below, presented by Tomasz Grochal - President of UNIGLOBE Splast Travel, is a perfect example why looking at things from a different perspective can lead to finding true value.

“One of our multinational customers approached us to organise an event for 150 of their staff members. The budget was tight and the key requirement was to come up with something very original and inspirational. We prepared a program that entailed two distinctive components. The first part involved a city game that allowed participants to discover Krakow’s history through solving puzzles. This activity resulted in bonding, competition, and teamwork, and also gave employees a chance of spending more time together while exploring Kraków in an unusual and innovative way. The second part of the program took place at the event site, in the form of a team building exercise, that created an opportunity for all participants to recognise how much they individually contributed to the success of their company. Our program design was well-received and a true testimony what success really is.”

KRAKOW , POLAND

Hotel Copernicus with its expansive Gothic façade is situated on Krakow’s oldest street that winds its way toward the Wawel Royal Castle (the historical place of Polish Kings). Hotel Copernicus is in the heart of Krakow, alongside with the famous Wawel Royal Castle, the Romanesque Church of Saint Andrew and the Saint Peter and Paul’s Church.

Hotel Copernicus has a rich authentic feel to it. The building itself has historical significance and with the works of art preserved within its walls, today offers the ultimate experience in hotel accommodation. There are astonishing medieval wooden beam ceilings, a meticulously restored fresco, that dates back to the 16th Century, and medieval cellars that accommodate the swimming pool and sauna areas.

Several centuries ago Hotel Copernicus was the residence of cathedral canons. Nicolaus Copernicus, famous astronomer and “father” of the heliocentric theory, lodged at the hotel when visiting Krakow. Hotel Copernicus is part of Krakow's peaceful character and the place where many prominent guests and royalties stayed at.

THE "Wieliczka" SALT MINE, Poland

Magnificent chambers chiselled out in rock salt. Amazing underground saline lakes, majestic timber constructions and unique statues sculpted in salt. Almost 3 kilometres of meandering corridors, 800 steps to climb of which 350 have to be descended to reach the depth of 135 meters underground. Thus it is no surprise that till now, this faboulous and unique tourist attraction of Poland has been visited by more than 41,500,000 people.

The Mine of the Past and of Today:

  • 13.6 Million years ago (Middle Miocene) is when the Wieliczka salt deposits form.

  • The end of the Paleolithic era marks the oldest traces of mankind found in this area, dating back 500,000 years (Lower Palaeolithic). It is also believed that the site was the home of reindeer hunters.

  • A 12th Century document confirms that a privilege was granted to the Benedictine monastery in Tyniec/Krakow to receive evaporated salt without payment from Magnum Sal (i.e. Wieliczka).

  • Jan Gottfryd Borlach, draws the plans of three mine levels and its conceptual intersections. A set of drawings is printed in 1766 by J. E. Nilson.

  • In the late 20th Century, the mine gets listed, as one of the top UNESCO’s Natural and Cultural Heritage. It is one of the first of 12 sites worldwide that receives such distinction.

The “Wieliczka” Salt Mine is one of the most valuable monuments of material and spiritual culture in Poland. Today, the “Wieliczka” Salt Mine combines many centuries of tradition and modernity, the history of several hundred years and an underground metropolis with extensive infrastructure.
